Ben Affleck and Rebecca Hall stepped off a boat in Venice today to promote his latest project The Town. Jon Hamm has spoken about making the film while starring in a steamy photoshoot with costar Rebecca, as has Blake Lively who also appears. Ben's brother Casey is also in town to talk about and premiere I'm Still Here, his intriguing documentary about Joaquin Phoenix that was shot after Joaquin announced his retirement from acting and hopes for a hip hop career. Casey told reporters the movie is not a hoax at a press conference.

Lots of celebrities headed to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center to watch the US Open in NYC yesterday. Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani looked loved up as they supported their friend Roger Federer once again. They sat with Roger's wife Mirka and celebrated his win over Jurgen Melzer. Gavin's fellow Gulf telethon fundraiser Pete Wentz also took in the tennis with Ashlee Simpson. Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez were there too, after celebrating her 38th birthday a week ago, but the couple didn't sit next together.

Big congratulations to Fearne Cotton, who's engaged to her man Jesse Jenkins! Jesse reportedly proposed to Fearne on her 29th birthday last Friday, and got down on one knee in Richmond Park. Her rep has confirmed the news. The couple have been dating on and off for two years and have been serious for about six months. As well as her gorgeous engagement ring, Fearne's been toting around some arm candy and FabUK has all the details.
Wayne Rooney joined his teammates in Basel, Switzerland yesterday for a training session ahead of their Euro 2010 qualifier against the national squad. Fabio Capello put the team through their paces, showing it was business as usual despite the weekend's reports that Wayne allegedly spent seven nights with a prostitute while his wife Coleen was pregnant with their son Kai. Coleen was spotted for the first time since the news broke at her parents' house in Liverpool today. Capello also held a press conference yesterday, and said of Rooney:
"He will play. I monitored him during training and he was good and focused on the game. I think he forgets any problems he has while he is on the pitch. We've spoken – private things – and it's important he plays. You have to separate, to divide, your private life from your job. You have to be strong to divide the two: living the job really well and finding solutions to the problems [off the pitch] are two different things. My job is the first part. The other part is his problem. I am the manager. They are the players. We have to separate the different moments but I spoke with him and he said he wanted to play against Switzerland and that he is focused."
Ashley Greene and Miley Cyrus got soaked in a fountain filming LOL in France yesterday. They posed for pictures with their dripping wet costars, and Ashley also gave a big smile as she had her photo taken in front of the Eiffel Tower. Ashley Hinshaw was with the gang too, and the actress has nothing but positive words about Ashley, saying her famous costar is "is really, really fantastic, you know she really kind of down to earth". The Twilight star is having a blast in the City of Love, whether she's sightseeing solo or shooting scenes.
